Every year I have the opportunity to mount a one man show in my gallery/studio for the Milton Studio Tour. This gives me a chance to stand back and look at my work and see where I’m going without the pressures of a jury or limited display space.
Since my work often addresses contemporary woman’s place in society, it’s fun to see how my sculptures keep coming back to that subject.
This is my latest limestone carving, Walking Woman 009, which will be on display for the first time.

If you’re in the Milton Area you can download a brochure for the tour at http://.www.fasm.ca.

Studio Tour is coming up again and I’m madly trying to finish some work. Last year’s tour was wall to wall people at times and I’m hoping many will return to see my progress.
I have been working on a very complicated commission this year which has required a lot of research into materials and subject matter ( like how is a double bass constructed?). I’ve discovered the wonders of Winterstone, a cementitious product developed by Lorne Winters. I’ve decided to document the process of creating a sculpture in Winterstone as part of my exhibit for Studio Tour.
You can download the Tour brochure here or go to www.fasm.ca

The Living Arts Centre Gallery in Mississauga has a wonderful new curator. Our exhibition, “Figuratively Speaking” is the first show he has mounted at this gallery.
If you watch the video, you’ll see Cole and some of our work. The sculpture featured is my “Venus Rising”. I have sold another work and the comments on the overall exhibition have been very favourable. thanks to Robin Hollingdrake for organizing all of us!
