Winterstone and copper wire on wood base

I have discovered Winterstone, a cementitious product developed by a Toronto sculptor. Mixed with water; it models like clay, carves like stone and cures like cement. The steel armature allowed me to sculpt this piece with all the undercuts and varying thicknesses.

A tribute to a very dear friend who chose to spend his last year pursuing a passion “life” had forced him to set aside. Seducing his double bass, Bruce played gypsy jazz with Bohemian Swing to the end.
